‘Bayon’ is a traditional Cambodian restaurant that opened in July 2012. It is one of the few authentic Cambodian restaurants in Japan.
Our owner-chef, Rasmey, is originally from the historic city of Udong, near Cambodia’s capital, Phnom Penh. Before coming to Japan as a chef, he worked as a chef at the restaurant ‘Romdeng’ in Phnom Penh and as a cooking instructor at a culinary school.
Cambodian cuisine uses plenty of fresh vegetables and has a mild, balanced flavor. We use not only unique Cambodian ingredients like ‘Prahok’ (a type of fermented fish paste) but also spices and seasonings from other Asian countries, such as Thailand, Vietnam, China, and India. This makes our dishes enjoyable for everyone. We invite you to come and try them for yourself! We also have English menus available in the restaurant.
*Note: The menu photos are for illustration purposes only and may differ from the actual dishes. We kindly ask that dinner guests order both food and drinks. Thank you for your understanding.
